Mindfulness & Meditation

A way for us to re-wire our brains so that we can more easily turn to safe & happy thoughts.

Just 5 minutes of meditation a day, has shown an increase in the left pre-frontal lobe of the brain, an area associated with positive feelings of joy and happiness.

Mindfulness is the energy of being aware and awake to the present moment. It is the continuous practice of touching life deeply in every moment of daily life.

To be mindful is to be truly alive, present and at one with those around you and with what you are doing.

Mindfulness helps us develop concentration, which in turn helps us to gain insight. Insight gives us the understanding to transform our mind and liberate us from our suffering.

We believe that when we transform ourselves, we help to transform society to one that is more loving, peaceful, and compassionate.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a practice that is all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. Also known as gentle yoga, it’s designed to relax, restore and rejuvenate the body, mind and spirit. In a restorative class, you may hardly move at all, doing just a few postures in the course of an hour. It is a completely different experience than most contemporary yoga.
During the long holds of restorative yoga, your muscles are allowed to relax deeply. It's a unique feeling because props, rather than your muscles, are used to support your body.
Restorative classes are very mellow, making them a good complement to more active practices (as well as our busy lives) and an excellent antidote to stress. Stillness is a powerful practice.
